December 2025: Quilt-As-You-Go Hexagon Ornament Virtual Workshop

Discover the versatility of a "quilt as you go" (QAYG) method to make beautiful hexagon ornaments/coasters! Teresa Walker from The Crafty Nuisance will guide you, step by step, through the process. This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone looking to make a super speedy and fun small project, especially if you have a lot of fabric and batting scraps to use up!

Not only will you learn how to make these adorable ornaments/coasters, but the workshop includes a detailed tutorial on "self binding" that can be used well beyond just these projects! Plus the QAYG technique can easily be applied to other projects, like table runners, wall hangings, or even full-sized quilts! 

Shortly after registering, you'll receive a single-use 10% off code with your Zoom confirmation so you can stock up on workshop supplies! Teresa will also send a "welcome" email with important details regarding the workshop, including what you'll need to prep and bring. Hexagon Template: Teresa will email a printable set of templates to make a 3.5" ornament or coaster. The supply list below includes a link to an optional hexagon ruler that will allow you to make several different sizes.

Supply List:

• Fabric scraps (at least one 6" square and one 4" square)
• Batting scraps (at least one 4" square)
• Hexagon ruler (see yellow-highlighted note above)
• Chenille size 24 needle
• 40wt thread (Isacord or Glide works well)
• 90/14 topstitch needle
  
• Fabric-safe marking tools
  • Sewline Trio pencil or equivalent
  • Sewline Air-Erasable Marker
    
• Sewline glue stick or Elmer's washable glue stick
• Wonder clips (at least 6 clips)
  
• Other "usual" sewing, cutting, marking tools and ironing supplies
  
• Optional: Perle cotton or skinny ribbon for hanger
