The Princess & the Reef (TP&TR) is a MosaiQuilt(TM) made explicitly from Tula Pink's Floral Reef fabric collection and cannot be duplicated or made with any other fabric.

This collection, including all products in the collection, such as the PDF pattern, is expected to ship in May 2026.

From the creative minds at The Crafty Nuisance who brought you A Wolf in Wolf’s Clothing comes a new masterpiece available exclusively at The Fabric Candy Shoppe. Celebrate Tula Pink’s Floral Reef collection in a clever and innovative way with The Princess & the Reef MosaiQuilt(TM). This pattern uses the features and contours of the collection’s fabrics themselves to make a seahorse image that looks like she comes straight out of the Floral Reef.

At first glance, this quilt may look like a pixel quilt, but it’s actually a mosaic—or "MosaiQuilt(TM)" as we call it. Each square is thoughtfully fussy cut and placed in a grid to create the image’s contours and details from the design elements of the fabrics themselves. While the image is made up of squares like a pixel quilt, our MosaiQuilts go beyond using squares of color to build an image. Instead you’re actually creating the image out of the genius of Tula Pink’s designs themselves.

Harnessing the power of The Crafty Nuisance’s proprietary software to generate both the image itself and the full-color, highly detailed pattern, you’ll be shown exactly what you need to cut from each print and where each square goes in the 14-panel layout. You’ll first be guided to cut specific larger rectangles from the yardage that are sub-cut into the necessary squares. The pattern has been carefully crafted into an interactive PDF viewable digitally, but it also has been formatted so you can print out the panel layouts and easily keep track of what to cut.

The customized Quiltsmart PiX Smart fusible grids (included in the kit) makes assembly a breeze! You’ll be able to easily check your fabric placement, make any adjustments, and keep everything organized and held in place. This fusible grid makes achieving perfect points SO simple and satisfying!

The Crafty Nuisance also created a special notion for this type of project! The Fabric Flispy(TM) (sold separately) has 12 sections so you can neatly stack each panel’s squares as you cut them. No need to use plastic bags or manage wild piles that could accidentally end up in the scrap bin! And the Stick-and-Sort Labels(TM) are available (also sold separately) to make labeling each square easy-peasy!
