My Story

Hi! I'm so glad you're here.

Fifteen years ago, The Fabric Candy Shoppe began with a simple dream and a whole lot of determination. What started as a small online fabric shop has grown into an incredible community of quilters from all over the World, and I'm still amazed by where this journey has taken me.

When I started, I didn't have a formal business education or a step-by-step guide to follow. Like many small business owners, I learned by doing. I spent countless hours listening to customers, talking with other business owners, learning from my successes (and my mistakes), and continually looking for ways to improve. Every new product, every program, and every change has been shaped by one simple question:

"How can I make this even better for my customers?"

I've always believed that businesses should grow because they continue to serve people well—not because they're chasing growth for the sake of growth. That's why The Fabric Candy Shoppe has evolved over the years. As our customers' needs changed, we changed with them. We introduced new products, created quilt programs, expanded our online presence, and built a team that shares the same commitment to making every customer feel valued.

Today, I'm incredibly fortunate to have an amazing team supporting the daily operations of the business. Their dedication allows me to spend more time doing what I love most—designing exclusive quilt programs, discovering beautiful new fabrics, planning future projects, and finding new ways to bring quilters together.

People often ask what I'm most proud of after fifteen years in business.

Honestly, it isn't the number of orders we've shipped or how much the business has grown.

It's knowing that someone found the confidence to make their very first quilt.

It's watching friendships grow through our sew-alongs and quilting programs.

It's seeing customers encourage one another, celebrate each other's accomplishments, and become part of a community that genuinely cares.

That's what this business has always been about.

The Fabric Candy Shoppe has never simply been a place to buy fabric. It's a place to learn, to create, to be inspired, and to connect with others who share a love of quilting.
